Intelligent Green Energy Solutions

We transform rooftops into intelligent green energy assets, helping homeowners and businesses achieve energy independence from volatile grid pricing, drive measurable environmental impact and spearhead ESG excellence in the shift towards a low-carbon future.

Why Solar

Climate change requires urgent solutions, and renewable energy is a key. Despite land constraints, Singapore is becoming a global leader in solar innovation, and is making significant strides in harnessing solar power to meet energy demands.

Save Energy Costs

Solar energy allows homeowners and businesses to generate their own power, reducing dependence on the national grid. With Singapore’s consistently high sunlight levels, households can enjoy significant savings on monthly utility bills – especially with rising global energy prices.

Green Plan 2030

As a land-scarce, highly urbanized nation, Singapore faces challenges in reducing emissions. Solar energy is one of the most effective and accessible ways to cut greenhouse gases, helping the country move closer to its Green Plan 2030 and net- zero by 2050 targets.

Energy Security

Singapore imports nearly 95% of its energy (mostly natural gas). By adopting solar power, we can reduce our reliance on imported fuels, strengthening energy security and buffering against global supply disruptions or price volatility.

Smart Investment
Installing solar panels adds long-term value to homes and businesses. With government incentives, tax benefits, and falling solar installation costs, the payback period is getting shorter. After the initial investment, electricity generation is virtually free for decades.
Sustainable City

Despite its small size, Singapore receives about 1,500 hours of sunshine annually – an abundant renewable resource. Solar rooftops, floating solar farms, and solar- powered EV charging stations turn this natural asset into clean, usable energy.

FAQs

Solar green energy refers to clean electricity generated from the sun via photovoltaic systems i.e. solar panels. It is called green energy as it produces clean power from a renewable and infinite source without emitting greenhouse gases or any pollutants associated with fossil fuel burning in the process.

Solarizing your roof reduces your electricity bills and carbon footprint, increases your property value, offers energy independence and potential income from excess power generated – all while requiring minimal system maintenance and lasting up to 20 to 25 years.

Installing solar panels on your roof will not cause leaks because we do not drill into roof tiles. This preserves your roof integrity and minimizes risk of damage; when installed properly by professionals using correct sealing methods, solar panels can actually protect your roof from harsh direct sunlight, reducing heat stress and extending its lifespan.

No, solar panels do not generate clean electricity at night as there is no sunlight. However, they are still able to generate clean electricity on cloudy days, albeit at a lower output.

Yes, you still have to purchase electricity from your selected energy retailer because solar does not work at night. Unless you have batteries that have been approved for use in your home that can store excess electricity generated from solar, you will need to purchase electricity from your selected energy retailer at night, on cloudy days, and on days when you require more electricity than can be sufficiently produced by your solar system.

Yes, the solar system is connected to Singapore’s main utility grid, ensuring your home has continuous uninterrupted power supply at night or when solar energy production is low.

We strongly recommend all homeowners with solarized rooftops to switch back to SP Group, as SP users enjoy greater electricity savings thanks to the higher solar buyback rates offered compared to non-SP users. You may find more details on the Energy Market Authority (EMA) website

The extent of your electricity savings depend on the capacity of your solar system (i.e. the number of panels we may potentially place on your roof to maximize solar energy production), and your home’s electricity consumption. Reduction in usage of electricity at night can also contribute to substantial electricity savings.

The suitability of your rooftop for solar installation depends on several factors including roof size, roof type, roof angle and orientation, structural integrity, the amount of sunlight it receives, and any potential shading from trees or nearby buildings. We provide a free site assessment to evaluate your roof and determine the suitability of solar panels and best system design for maximum green energy production.

You may contact SP’s hotline at 1800 778 8888 or scan this QR code to connect with them.

Around 2 weeks, depending on the size of installation.
